What we do
Battersea – Much More Than Just A Dogs Home!
Sitting alongside the south bank of the River Thames, Battersea is a relatively desirable area to live in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Just 3 miles southwest of Charing Cross, it is in zone 2 of London’s transport districts and is served by the Clapham Junction, Battersea Park and Queenstown Road over-ground train stations. The area is also neighboured by Lambeth, Camberwell, Streatham, Wandsworth and Clapham and has excellent all-round transport links for commuters. Due to its central location, house prices here tend to be above the London average and include a range of luxury riverside properties, typical London homes and housing estates. The SW11 and SW8 areas do have a number of notable sights including the Battersea Power Station, Battersea Dogs and Cats home and the wider Battersea parkland area. There are also a wide selection of gastro-pubs, restaurants and shops to explore, as well as the popular Battersea Arts Centre. The 200 acre parkland is a spectacularly tranquil place and is home to a boating lake, pier and boating house amongst others.
