What we do
Best known for Reading University, the city of Reading (pronounced Red-ing) is located in the county of Berkshire, around 40 miles west of London. Being a University town it has a high student population, and is a very modern city, despite its long history. Some of the local attractions include Reading Abbey, The Blade building, and the Maiwand Lion sculpture. Reading is also known for its various annual events including the Reading Festival and the Reading Marathon, as well as many other sporting events such as rugby and cricket. The town is easily accessed via train thanks to its quick connections to London and other areas of the UK, as well as local buses and good road links.
