What we do
Romford is set in the London Borough of Havering in the North East of London. It is a large suburban town, and is one of the major metropolitan centres, identified by Government. It is in the postcode district RM1 and surrounding places include Havering-atte-Bower, Noak Hill, Stapleford Abbotts and Dagenham. Surrounding postcodes include RM4, RM3, RM10 and CM13. The opening of a railway station in Romford was a massive cause of growth for this area, which was once a market town and it is now one of the largest entertainment and shopping areas outside of Central London. Along with having things to do, Romford is also home to head offices of many large, well-known chain companies which operate throughout the United Kingdom, making it a fairly significant area. Attractions in Romford include The Dolphin Centre, Romford Ice Arena, Greyhound Stadium and Brookside Theatre. They also have a football club, Romford FC. All of these help to bring people into Romford, turning it into the place it is today.
