A Slice of Life Here in Rubery
Rubery is a village that’s partly a southern suburb of Birmingham, but also makes up part of the Brimsgrove district of Worcestershire. It’s part of the B45 postcode area, and is about nine miles south of Birmingham’s city centre. ‘Rubery’ comes from the Old English ‘rowbery’, which means ‘rough hill. The eastern part of Rubery is where you’ll find the Great Park, which was a major commercial development that aimed to increase the Longbridge ward in general. Within the Great Park are many offices, houses, services as well as an area of open space.
