The International Community Of Brent
The London Borough of Brent is a built-up area in northwest London that includes the postcode districts of NW1, NW8 and NW3. Densely populated and with a strong international community, it is an ethnically diverse area where a majority of the population is from a Black and Minority Ethnic background. Along with this, there is also a growing community of knowledge workers who are increasing the affluence of the area. One of the outer boroughs of northwest London, Brent is bordered by Harrow, Barnet, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster. Despite its pockets of deprivation, the Borough of Brent is a popular area and the home of Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena. Known for hosting international sporting and music events, these are key spots within the district. Kilburn and Willesden can also be found within the borough and have their own interesting selection of shops, restaurants and bars to visit. The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple also worths visiting and reflects Brent’s large international community. A number of tube lines also serve the wider Brent area and make it a well-connected zone for commuters into the centre.
