What we do
Looking at Yiewsley
Yiewsley is a town in London, far west of Charring Cross. It is part of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Its population is between 11,000 and 12,000 people. It is close by to West Drayton, Hayes, Sipson, Harlington, Harmondsworth and Cowley. Very little is known about the area in the period before the Grand Junction Canal was constructed in the 18th century. The town church is St. Matthew's. There is an art centre near the local green and local organisations include a historic society and the Hillingdon Primary Care Trust. Some of the famous people from the area have included Ronnie Wood, Kim Gardner and Wally Gentleman.
