What we do
What Catford Has To Offer
With a huge fibreglass cat overlooking the main shopping street, Catford is a distinctive place in southeast London. Part of the London Borough of Lewisham, it is 6.3 miles away from the central station of Charing Cross and is in zone 3 of London’s transport areas. Served by two over-ground train stations – Catford and Catford Bridge – it is relatively well-connected though it does not have its own tube station. As a result, house prices here tend to be well below the London average and are generally in low-demand. The area has also been known to have a bad crime rate and is now a main focus of regeneration in the Lewisham borough. As well as its shopping centre, the SE6 and SE26 areas also have a number of parks and greener areas including Riverpool Linear Park, Mountsfield Park, Ladywell Fields and Iona Close Orchard, making this a relatively attractive place to explore. The areas of Crofton Park, Ladywell, Bellingham and Lower Sydenham can also be found in the nearby streets.
