Booked a rubbish removal service and was really amazed at their green approach! I had to dispose of an old wooden wardrobe but it was heavy to handle it on my own. They came to my house in Kingsbury the same day and handled it without a problem, even took the old thing to the recycling centre in NW9. Great work!
Kingsbury Offers Something for Everyone
Kingsbury is an area of Northwest London in the region of Brent, and sprawls west to Queensbury, and areas of Kenton, and Wembley Park. The postcode area is NW9. Kingsbury means The King’s Manor and was once a village. It was cruelly affected by the Black Death, and more or less abandoned until a new one grew around Kingsbury Green in the late 19th century. The 1900’s it experienced major development and quickly became an independent area. In 1920 it saw the introduction of Neasden station which made connections to other parts of London easier. With this, the population increased dramatically during the next few years. From this the metropolitan railway was constructed with links from Wembley Park to Stanmore, and the underground in Kingsbury Green was opened in 1932. The largest road in the area is the A4006 - the Kingsbury Road. After WW2 most of the original Victorian houses were destroyed, and new developments and housing estates were built to cope with the rising population in the area. The area has a good combination of suburban areas, high rise apartments and a wildlife country park for recreation.
