What we do
Visit the Historic Area of Farringdon
Farringdon is a district in Central London, within the London Borough of Islington and consists of two historical wards – the Wards of Farringdon Without and the Wards of Farringdon Within. The names of the wards come from the parts of the area that have been outside or behind the London Wall before it fell. The two wards stretch out across a considerable area of the City and cover many big features, including locales such as Inner Temple, Middle Temple, and Blackfriar’s Bridge. Smithfield’s St Bartholomew’s Hospital, one part of the Barts Health NHS Trust, is also located in this area.
