What You Can Enjoy in Tower Hill, B42
Tower Hill is a small area of Great Barr in Birmingham. Tower Hill is an area located near the junction of Walsall Road and Tower Hill, with the source of its name sadly lost to the tides of time. The best guesses today are that the name origin is derived from the manor house of Tower Hill itself as the most logical source. As it stands however, the name today is used mainly because of the Tower Hill Farm, which was once just over to the northwest of the local Tame Valley Canal cutting, which eventually got replaced by private housing during the time between the 1930s and the 1950s. The Freeth Bridge over the canal is a sight to behold, beautifully contrasting with its dark colours against a backdrop of greenery around it, definitely worth visiting.
